Glenn & Caroly – Precision, Elegance and Performance in Motion
At the recent UK Open Dance Festival, our DSI Elite performers Glenn Richard Boyce and Caroly Janes delivered an exceptional performance in the Professional Ballroom, finishing an impressive 4th overall.
With one dance result placing them as high as second and margins incredibly close at the top level, their performance confirmed what many already see — a partnership continuing to rise through the ranks with remarkable momentum. For dancers of their generation, this represents a significant milestone and a testament to their dedication, artistry and discipline.
We are incredibly proud to support them on this journey.

Two Dresses, One Vision
For the event, Caroly presented two distinctive gowns — each reflecting a different interpretation of Ballroom elegance, yet both grounded in technical precision and couture craftsmanship.
Tan & Purple – Sculpted Movement
The first gown featured a flesh mesh bodice combined with a limited-edition purple stretch satin, enhanced by a luminous gold twinkle underskirt. The satin itself was carefully manipulated to create a subtle three-dimensional effect across the waistline, sculpting the silhouette while allowing freedom of movement.
Hand-applied rhinestones in Deep Tanzanite, Crystal Sunrise and Aurum added warmth and depth, catching the light with every turn and creating a rich visual dialogue between colour, texture and performance.
Elegant yet powerful, the design embodied classic Ballroom glamour with a contemporary edge.
Petrol Blue – Precision and Modern Elegance
For the final, Caroly wore a striking Petrol Blue gown, crafted from a special stretch satin produced in Japan — chosen for its exceptional drape, resilience and fluidity.
Flesh mesh cut-outs created refined negative space within the design, adorned with Capri Blue and Cobalt Krystalliten jewellery stones to enhance brilliance without compromising elegance.
The result was a gown that felt modern, architectural and deeply expressive — perfectly aligned with the evolving aesthetic of today’s Professional Ballroom.
Designer Collaboration – From Vision to Reality
Both dresses were created in close collaboration with DSI London designer Svetlana, whose ongoing creative partnership with Caroly continues to evolve with each project.
Through a strong mutual understanding of silhouette, movement and artistic intention, Caroly’s ideas are translated into designs that feel personal, authentic and performance-driven. This collaborative process, built on trust, experience and shared vision, is central to achieving a truly bespoke couture result.

Couture That Lives Beyond the Floor
Many of the dresses worn by our DSI Elite performers — including Caroly’s gowns — are available through our website.
These pieces represent not only couture craftsmanship but also the opportunity for dancers to wear designs shaped by world-class performance experience.
Fabric Focus – Italian Stretch Mesh
Both gowns incorporated one of the most essential elements of modern dance design: high-quality stretch mesh.
Our DSI mesh is produced in Italy and selected specifically for professional performance wear. With true four-way stretch, exceptional recovery and a refined, transparent finish, it offers both comfort and structural integrity, allowing designers to create sculpted shapes, seamless transitions and elegant cut-outs.
As with all our core fabrics, it is commission-dyed to match the DSI colour palette, ensuring consistency across costumes and collections.
For us, fabric sourcing is never about compromise, only about performance, durability and aesthetic excellence.
