The Hunger Games: On Stage — DSI London Joins a Landmark New Production in London

20th November 2025
DSI London is proud to announce our involvement in one of the most ambitious and awaited theatrical productions of the year: The Hunger Games: On Stage, now open in London.
This extraordinary new production brings Suzanne Collins’s worldwide phenomenon to the stage with an epic scale, cinematic energy, and a vision unlike anything currently seen in the West End.
We are thrilled to contribute to this project as part of our continuing commitment to support world-class productions with garments made exclusively in our South London studio — where every costume is created with precision, innovation, and care.

A New Chapter in The Hunger Games Legacy
In a dystopian future, The Hunger Games ignite a thrilling battle for survival, where 24 young tributes are pitted against each other in an arena to fight to the death. Katniss Everdeen, a fearless and resourceful heroine, emerges as a symbol of rebellion as she fights not only for her life but for the hope of a nation oppressed by a ruthless Capitol. In a brand-new epic stage production, The Hunger Games: On Stage is a gripping tale of courage, defiance, and the unbreakable human spirit.
Conor McPherson has adapted the first book from Suzanne Collins’s epic series and the first film from Lionsgate’s iconic film franchise for this live theatrical production. The production is helmed by renowned director Matthew Dunster (2:22 - A Ghost Story, Hangmen, The Pillowman and most recently Hedda at Theatre Royal Bath), with a world-class creative team who bring the show to life.
Joining McPherson and Dunster on the creative team for Hunger Games on Stage are Miriam Buether (set designer), Moi Tran (costume designer), Charlotte Broom (choreographer), Lucy Carter (lighting designer), Ian Dickinson for Autograph (sound designer), Tal Rosner (video designer), Chris Fisher (illusions), Kev McCurdy (fight director), Suspended Illusions (performer flying), James Maloney (arranger, musical director & additional compositions), Amy Ball CDG (casting director), James Robert Moore (associate director), Robyn Grant (creative assistant director), Luke Smith (associate set designer) and Lloyd Thomas (production manager).
The Hunger Games: On Stage is produced by Oliver Royds, Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, Isobel David, Timothy Laczynski and Umeda Arts Theater, by arrangement with Lionsgate.

DSI London’s Role — Crafting a World of Rebellion & Spectacle
Bringing The Hunger Games to the stage involves a vast and incredibly diverse range of costumes:
• dystopian uniforms
• Capitol-inspired avant-garde pieces
• practical garments for combat and survival
• character-led narrative costumes
• large-scale ensemble looks
This variety demands a broad and adaptable set of technical skills, and we feel privileged that our South London workshop was selected to help bring such a challenging and imaginative visual world to life.
With a committed creative team and a tight production schedule, this project required:
precise pattern development,
fast yet meticulous construction,
innovative solutions for movement-heavy staging, and
deep collaboration with the costume department.
Our in-house artisans rose to the challenge, drawing on decades of experience in performance wear to support the show’s costume designer, Moi Tran, in realising her vision.

Proudly Made in London
As always, every garment we produced for this production was made in our own South London studio — a point of pride and one of our enduring principles.
For us, Made in London is not just a label; it is a commitment to quality, integrity, and craftsmanship.
It also allows close coordination, quick turnaround times, and the steady communication required for a production of this scale.
Projects like The Hunger Games: On Stage highlight why local production matters:
it enables agile, collaborative, high-skilled craftsmanship in service of storytelling on the world stage.

Expanding Our West End Portfolio
We are honoured to add The Hunger Games: On Stage to our growing list of prestigious theatrical collaborations, alongside Moulin Rouge, Hamilton, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, and many others.
We are especially delighted that rising talent Mia Carragher, daughter of Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, joins the cast in a leading role — a wonderful addition to an already exceptional ensemble.
Being trusted by leading creative teams reinforces our mission:
to serve the theatre, dance, and entertainment industries with locally produced, world-class craftsmanship.

Experience the Rebellion Live
This groundbreaking production promises to be one of London’s theatrical highlights.
We could not be prouder to have contributed to its visual world.
