Expanding Our Theatrical Portfolio – Pantomime Sleeping Beauty
We are delighted to share our involvement in the recent pantomime production of Sleeping Beauty.
This project marks an exciting expansion of our growing theatrical portfolio, further demonstrating DSI London’s capability as a reliable large-scale stage costume manufacturing partner.
Working closely with the production’s creative team from supplied sketches, our South London studio was entrusted with bringing multiple ensemble costume groups to life — delivering precision, consistency and efficiency across the full wardrobe.
All costumes were produced under one roof, reinforcing our commitment to Made in London craftsmanship and streamlined production processes.

Ball Gowns – Statement Ensemble Elegance

For the ballroom scenes, we created five bespoke ball gowns for the ensemble.
Crafted in rich burgundy damask with sweeping striped drapes and structured statement bows, these gowns were designed to command attention under stage lighting while maintaining durability for repeated performances.
Seeing all five gowns aligned in the studio before heading to stage was a proud moment — and a testament to coordinated production at scale.
Village Ensemble – Character Through Texture

For both men and women of the ensemble, we developed village costumes rich in texture, pattern and colour.
Each look was carefully constructed to support character storytelling while remaining practical for performance. Cohesion across the group was essential, ensuring the village scenes felt vibrant yet visually unified.
Devils – Sharp Silhouettes & Dramatic Contrast

In contrast to the warmth of the village, the devil costumes introduced sharper silhouettes and a more dramatic edge.
Designed for both male and female ensemble members, these looks embraced strong lines and theatrical impact — enhancing the darker narrative elements of the production.
Fairies – Colour, Light and Movement

The fairy costumes brought a spectrum of colour and texture to the stage.
Each fairy group was developed with its own colour story — while maintaining a cohesive silhouette across the ensemble. Sculpted shapes, layered fabrics and reflective detailing ensured that each costume shimmered beautifully under theatre lighting.
