DSI’s dresses dazzled in the West End last week when Giovanni Pernice’s Born to Win wowed at the Lyric Theatre, London, in a gala performance.
After the huge success of last year’s Dance is Life, Giovanni’s latest show promised more heat, more energy, and even more drama than before – and it looks like it is keeping that promise.
The popular Strictly Come Dancing pro reunited with his partner from last year, Debbie McGee, for a glorious spin around the dance floor at the Lyric Theatre with Debbie McGee’s Flamenco salsa dress, made here at DSI London, getting another outing.
Also partnering Giovanni on stage, Luba Mushtuk, Strictly dancer and assistant choreographer, stars as his gorgeous leading lady in Born to Win, along with Dancing with the Stars Ireland professionals Giulia Dotta, Kai Widdrington, Emily Barker, and Curtis Pritchard. The show welcomes the talented Stephen Vincent and Kylee Brown from the international hit Burn the Floor.
Born to Win, which is touring until 18th July 2018, is produced by Strictly Theatre Co and choreographed by Strictly’s creative director of choreography, Jason Gilkison. The narrative of the ballroom and Latin show focuses on Giovanni’s own life and experiences and he is looking forward to the chance to share more the story of his life with his fans.
“When you are on Strictly Come Dancing, there’s not always the chance for people to find out more about you,” says Giovanni. “On my show, there’s the opportunity for people to get to know me better.”
