A very happy Easter at Blackpool!

25th April 2019

DSI London’s dancers had an unforgettable Easter at the 2019 WDC/AL European Championships last weekend, with our Elite Performers Michal Le and Sandra Jablonska dancing to the very top spot in the prestigious Amateur Ballroom Championship. This is a huge achievement and we are incredibly proud of them – and it’s nice to see Michal feeling the love for DSI, too (see above).

In the same championship, DSI Elite Performers Glenn-Richard Boyce and Cäroly were semi-finalists, just seven marks away from making the final, as well as clinching the audience favourite vote, while in the Amateur Latin Lloyd Perry and Rebecca Scott came sixth and were also winners of the DSI TV audience vote.

Glenn and Cäroly also came sixth in the Under 19 Latin and achieved the same placing in the Under 21 Latin, in which Elite Performer Oliver Beardmore made the semi-final.

Our dancers also triumphed in the Under 14 Ballroom, which was won by DSI Elite Performer Olivia King and her partner, Maxim Morris. And we also dominated the Professional Latin Grand Prix, which was claimed by DSI Elite Performer Gunnar Gunnarsson and his partner, Marika Doshoris.

Last, but by no means least, Nathan Storey and Olivia Smorga made the semi-finals of the Juvenile Ballroom – their last European Juvenile event, soon to be followed this week by their very last Juvenile competition. Look out for the results of the Junior Festival in our next newsletter and huge congratulations to every single of our dancers!
